that reads "The Tree of Life is always here."
The Tree of Life defined is both simple and overwhelmingly complex. One thing is for certain. The tree, as a symbol, is used over and over again throughout ancient history to modern times.  The simple definition is in the title. Trees represent life.

We observe a Tree of Life representation in philosophy, religion and mythology, all of which becomes easily blurred together depending on an individuals spirituality, faith or overall belief system.

The Tree of Life is also used in biology in describing or categorizing all living organisms, specifically in a Darwinian Evolution fashion. Under this facet, we will briefly cover the phylogenic tree of life so that you are informed to this use as well. While phylogeny is a great topic in itself, this site's aim is to focus on spiritual and metaphysical aspects.  (However, understand that biology and other sciences continue to overlap with metaphysical sciences as we continue to learn about and experience our natural world!)

Perhaps a tree is a perfect symbol due to its form and function.  With unseen roots branching into the ground, a solid, sturdy trunk for us to touch and branches intertwining and reaching for the sky along with its shelter, safe haven home to animals and fruit producing, it is no wonder the tree becomes a perfect symbol.

Almost all ancient cultures, regardless of time, language and isolation, shared a common Tree of Life theme in their spiritual or religious beliefs.  Whether or not we know and understand why completely, we are drawn to trees.

believe this tree is at Disney'sAnimal Kingdom Park!
It's beautiful and colossal with animal carvings into
the bark, and it is appropriately called
"The Tree of Life."

As previously stated, this page serves as a simple introduction.
